Core Beliefs
Clarity in what we believe leads to confidence in how we live. Explore the essential truths that define the Mended Church community and the hope that drives us forward.
God
Our mission begins with the one true God, who exists eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the Creator of all that exists, the one who first spoke life into being and now breathes new life into the broken.
We worship a God who is perfect in justice and mercy—the divine mender of our souls. His character is the unmovable cornerstone of our church; He does not shift or shadow, providing the same hope today that He promised yesterday and will fulfill tomorrow.

Revelation
We believe that God has not remained hidden, but has actively revealed His heart for a mended world. He has shown us His face through Jesus Christ, the visible image of the Father; He has spoken His promise through the Holy Scriptures; and He has whispered His glory through every part of creation. Through these, we see the beauty He intends to restore in us.
Mankind
At Mended Church, we recognize that our story began in perfection. God created humanity, male and female, in His own likeness to display His glory to the world. In their original state, Adam and Eve lived without the brokenness of sin and were entrusted with the sacred mission of mending and tending to all of God's creation. They were designed for wholeness from the very beginning.
The Fall
The story of brokenness began when our first parents chose their own path over God’s command. In that moment of disobedience, the "wholeness" of humanity was shattered. We became distorted images of our Creator, falling out of the intimate fellowship for which we were designed. This act didn't just affect them; it fractured the very fabric of creation, leaving a world in desperate need of the Mender’s hand to make things right again.
Salvation
Jesus Christ is the visible fulfillment of God’s promise to mend what is broken. He walked among us without sin, taking our fractured lives upon Himself and willingly dying on the cross to settle the debt of our transgressions.
Through His resurrection, Jesus proved that death and brokenness do not have the final word. He now offers us a divine exchange: our sin for His righteousness, and our death for His eternal life. This gift is available to everyone who puts their faith in Him as Savior. He is the only one with the power to make us whole, and it is in Him alone that we find our salvation.

The Church
The Church is the living evidence of God’s power to make things whole. We are the visible body of Christ, a gathering of once-fractured people now joined together for a singular purpose: to glorify God and share the message of Jesus. We are sent out as "Oaks of Righteousness" to announce that the Mender is at work, inviting a broken world into the restoration only He can provide.
Resurrection
The work of the Mender is not yet finished, but we live in the certain hope of its completion. One day, Jesus Christ will return to set all things right—judging the brokenness of the world and healing every remaining scar. He will usher in a new era where "mending" is no longer needed because all has been made whole. We look forward to the day when the fullness of God’s Kingdom is established on earth as it is in heaven.
Our Beliefs
The Simple Breakdown...
Jesus is at the center:
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God—
fully God and fully human.
Through His life, death, and resurrection,
we are offered forgiveness, new life, and restoration.
Everything we do flows from Him.
Scripture is our foundation:
We believe the Bible is the Word of God—
true, trustworthy, and guiding how we live.
It shapes our understanding of God,
our view of people,
and the way we serve our community.
Salvation is by grace:
We believe that we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus—
not by earning it, but by receiving it.
No one is too far gone.
No story is beyond redemption.
Every person carries dignity:
We believe every person is created in the image of God.
That means every life has value—
regardless of past, present, or circumstance.

With respect.
With patience.
With care.

Healing is a process:
We believe God restores, heals, and transforms lives.
But healing is not always instant.
We are committed to walking with people
through the process—
not rushing it, and not abandoning it.
The Church is a community:
We believe the Church is not just a place—it’s a people.
A people learning to follow Jesus together.
A people who support, encourage, and walk with one another.
No one is meant to do life alone.
We are called to serve:
We believe faith is lived out through action.
We are called to:
but from humility and love.
Still becoming:
We are not a perfect people.
We are being shaped—
learning, growing, and becoming more like Jesus over time.
And we believe God is still at work.
