Our Mission

The mission of Mended Church is to be
a community restored by Jesus so we can
help others experience
healing through Him.
In short...

Life Breaks People.
Jesus Mends Them.

Our Vision

At Mended Church we believe that
Jesus lovingly calls people back to Himself
and restores what has been
lost and broken.
In short...

God Can't Fix
 What We Fake

Our View of Restoration through Mended Church

A community where no one walks alone—where people are known, supported,
and mended over time through Jesus.
Shuv - (to restore)—to bring something back and make it whole again in its rightful place. When the Bible says that God restores our souls, it describs His loving work of bringing us back to the life we we're meant to live.  We believe Jesus lovingly calls people back to Himself and
restores what has been lost.
Rapha -(to heal): to restore and make whole over time.
It reveals God as the one who heals wounds - both physical and spiritual.
Where life has caused pain, shame or brokenness, God brings healing and
renewal. We believe the church should be a place where that
healing is experienced in real authentic community.

At Mended Church, our mission isn't a new idea—it’s an ancient promise.

What the Church SHOULD Be....
The earliest Christians lived in harmony as a restored community.  They shared life together, prayed together, cared for each other and helped each other follow Jesus daily. We believe that Jesus still restores lives today - bringing hope to the hurting, healing the wounded and new life to those who feel lost. We intend to continue that mission! Isaiah 61 comes across to us as a promise from the Old Testament. The prophet Isaiah spoke of a future where God would not just ignore our brokenness but use it as the raw material for something new. He promised a "Mender" who would come to: Bind up the broken hearted, Proclaim Liberty (freedom) for those held captive by their past and Exchange the "ashes" from our lives (what's ruined/broken) for a "crown of beauty" (new purpose). In the Gospel of Luke Jesus teaches from this passage and says "Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing." (Luke 4:21) Jesus declared that the "Mending" had officially begun. He didn't just come to talk about healing; He came to be the Healer. He is the one who performs the work, and we are the community he has gathered to help "rebuild the ruins" of our world and lives!

What that means:
Mended Church exists to be a place where:
  1. Brokenness is welcomed: We know that "ashes" are the first step toward "beauty."
  2. Restoration is active: We don't just sit in our healing; we grow into "Oaks" who provide shade and strength for others.
  3. The Mission is clear: We are here to partner with Jesus in the ongoing work of mending a broken world.
